Away | 08 October 2016 | Attendance: 257
After a very nervy start by both sides in front of a crowd of 257 we took the lead when we broke quickly following a Calne corner and a superb Lewis Russell pass found Harry Myles and Ben Pring followed up his cross come shot to put us ahead on 15 minutes, didn't deter Calne though and they kept up their work rate and were soon rewarded when Jon Bazley bundled over Steve Allison in the box and Mark Dolman calmly sent Sam Thomson the wrong way from the spot.
Things got worse for us when a couple of minutes later a Daniel King throw in caused panic in the penalty area and after a spell of pinball player manager Neurin Jones smashed his side ahead to send them in 2-1 at half time.
Had to make an unforced change at half time with Angel Falagan Martinez replacing the ill Harry Myles but it was Calne who got the next goal when Oli Webb netted with a close range effort.
In fairness we gave it a good go and some of our play probably deserved more than just the 93rd minute consolation provided by Prings 2nd of the game.
Well done and thanks to Calne who just about did enough to take all 3 point and for there superb hospitality and thanks to the officials, 2 excellent assistant referees and a referee who on another night may have seen a couple of decisions differently, go again on Wednesday home to Devizes Town.
