If I'm honest never saw this result coming but come it did and what a superb result it was against another side I'm convinced will be there or thereabouts come May.
Fairly even opening, though a couple of half chances came Cheddars way but a bit of luck and a couple of Sam Thomson saves kept it goalless, nearest we came was a clever Harry Myles chip that was comfortably dealt with by the Cheddar keeper but he was helpless 15 minutes later when a clever passing move down the right set Lewis Russell free and he finished with ease at the near post to take us in at halftime 1 to the good.
Came out expecting Cheddar to have a right go at it but after a Jaiden Savery shot was saved outstanding work by Jon Bazley kept the move alive and his clever pass saw debutant Josh Bright cap a superb first game with a smart right footed finish from ten yards to put us two ahead and before Cheddar had cleared there heads from that a superb Thomson clearance sent Savery through and though his lob goalwards looked like sneaking in Russel made sure with a close range header.
Saw out the last few minutes with minimum fuss with the back four of Harvey, Craig Gingell man of the match Nick Chandler and Ajay Arithoppah dealing with everything Cheddar threw at us, the only blemish came in the last couple of minutes when Savery was ordered off following a silly off the ball clash with a Cheddar player, that aside a great day's work and it's on to Wednesday when we entertain Oldlands in what is sure to be another tough game.
