Disappointed to have come away without even a point after probably having the lions share of the play but as we are all aware goals win games and one of high quality and one hotly disputed have won it tonight for Warminster.
Started on the front foot with a front two of Ben Pring and Adam Shipman causing all kinds of problems to an overworked home defence coupled with some outstanding free kicks and corners from Callum Elms that somehow managed to elude a Corsham touch time after time, and then the inevitable kick in the proverbials when after one such set piece a fast break out ended with a superb finish from the home number 8.
Made a change at halftime with Zach Costello replacing the ill Rhys Lock, kept up the onslaught on the Warminster goal but in fairness to the home team some excellent goalkeeping and calm defending kept us at bay and chances at a premium. Then came the killer 2nd goal when from what looked a clear offside position the home side went 2 up, undeterred we kept at it and got are reward when Nick Chandler glanced home MOM Shipmans free kick and we very nearly got a very late equaliser when Chandler saw his shot blocked on the line.
Decent keenly fought game with some good football from both sides trying to play the game the right way and well done to a very energetic Warminster team on there win.
