SECOND HALF DISPLAY CRUSHES WESTBURY

Westbury Youth Ladies 1 Corsham Town Women 5

After a week off Corsham Town Women were back in action at Redland Lane away to Westbury Ladies.

Going into the game without goalkeeper Nia Davies and influential midfielder Sophie Morgan, a debut was given to a new signing from Warminster Town Tia Harris who operated wide right allowing Em to move into midfield and Chantalle picking up the goalkeeping gloves a role that she is comfortable covering when needed.

The first half saw Corsham dominate the ball and had a penalty saved by the impressive home goalkeeper. But they found ourselves one goal down at halftime.

Corsham didn’t panic and kept things the same for the second half confident that they should keep playing as they had been doing and the goals would come.

And they did with another hat trick from Shannon Redhouse and a brace from Em Summerill to secure another 3 points.

A great footballing performance and a team to be proud of. The work rate, decision making and execution were fantastic, on another day it could easily have been double figures.
