Match Report

After a bright, pacy start from both sides, Radstock took the lead in the 14th minute when Chris Snoddy saved but the rebound fell to a Radstock player to score.

On the half-hour, following a foul on a Radstock defender, the visiting keeper ran 20 yards out of his area to get involved in the ensuing fracas by striking Billy Cockson from behind. Bizarrely, the referee decided a yellow card was sufficient punishment. After that, the keeper denied both Jon Bazley and Billy Cookson before the break and when Ben Starr was played through his shot came back off the crossbar.

After half-time, Leigh Rogers shot just over the bar and Billy Cookson was denied yet again.

Radstock then doubled their lead in the 64th minute with a similar goal to their first when Snoddy again saved a free-kick but the rebound was netted.

It was not to be Corsham's day as despite more attacks they were unable to find the final ball on this occasion. Strong defending from both sides was the main thing and Zac Costello was named the Corsham Man of the Match for his play in central defence.
