Match Report

Hard fought but well deserved 3 points in a game played in a great spirit and well officiated by 3 very good officials.

Started on the front foot and took the lead on 8 minutes when Callum Elms calmly finished of a slick right wing move involving Jaiden Savery and Adam Shipman, kept up the pace and had a couple of half chances when a Robbie Tripp header flashed just wide and a volley from the same player went inches wide. To be fair Keynsham had there moments and Sam Thomson had to be on his toes on more than one occasion, following new signing Lewis Russell's free kick Nick Chandler then had a goal disallowed after MOM Craig Gingell was rightly pulled up for pushing but undeterred we kept at it and right on halftime a superb pass from Jon Bazley found the hard running Shipman who finished with ease.

Had to make a change at halftime with Alejandro Valladares Ruiz replacing the excellent Zach Costello but kept up the pace though to be fair never looking like extending the lead and Keynsham slowly got a foothold on the game and put a hard worked Corsham defence under a lot of pressure, held on until 7 minutes from the end when after a misplaced pass Keynsham pulled one back to set up a hectic last 5 minutes which we saw out thanks to some tremendous backs to the wall defending from the whole team, great work ethic and team spirit showed all day and we go again Wednesday when local rivals Westbury come to town.
