Corsham Town is thrilled to announce its first-ever Community Partnership with local data centre giant Ark Data Centres. This exciting collaboration promises significant upgrades to the club’s home ground, The Taxtful Southbank, enhancing the matchday experience for players and fans alike.
Ark Data Centres, renowned for designing and operating data centres across the UK and Europe, has a dedicated campus right here in Corsham. Recognising the club’s integral role in the community, Ark Data Centres has stepped forward to support its development.
This partnership has been in the works for quite some time, and the club are ecstatic to finally share the positive impact it will have on the club. With Ark Data Centres’ generous resources, the club have set in motion six key projects to transform The Southbank into a modern and comfortable space for everyone.
The first phase of the project is already complete, boasting a refurbished stand, a brand-new ticket booth, and a dedicated club shop and outdoor bar for matchday enjoyment. However, the most significant improvement is yet to come.
The next stage will be the biggest ground improvement since the floodlights were installed in 2001. Replacing all concrete posts and blocks with a brand-new perimeter wall, prioritising player and spectator safety while meeting the latest Step 5 and above grading standards.
Further enhancements are on the horizon, including a covered spectator area on the far side of the pitch and a revamped sound system to amplify the matchday atmosphere. While some temporary ground restrictions may apply during implementation, the club assures supporters that the inconvenience will be minimal compared to the long-lasting benefits.
The club extend heartfelt gratitude to Andy Garvin and Huw Owen at Ark Data Centres for their invaluable support. Corsham Town are incredibly proud to partner with such a community-focused organisation, and can’t wait to unveil the fruits of this exciting collaboration.
This landmark partnership between Corsham Town and Ark Data Centres marks a new chapter for the club, promising a brighter future for both The Southbank and the wider Corsham community.
