HISTORIC SEASON FOR THE QUARRYWOMEN

The 2023/24 season will undoubtedly be etched into the annals of Corsham Town Women’s football history. A campaign defined by unparalleled dominance, the team’s achievements were nothing short of extraordinary. Their flawless league campaign, punctuated by a prolific goal-scoring rate of 4.8 per game, showcased a level of consistency and attacking prowess rarely seen at this level.

The only defeat came in the County Cup, but this did little to overshadow the team’s overall brilliance. The subsequent League Cup triumph played out in front of a fervent crowd, was a fitting culmination to a season of sensational performances. The overwhelming support from the fans was instrumental in creating a great atmosphere for the team, making Corsham a daunting prospect for any opposition.

Ian ‘Copper’ Harris and his coaching staff deserve immense credit for crafting a squad capable of such sustained excellence. Their tactical acumen, coupled with their ability to foster a winning mentality, has laid the foundation for future success.

As the team steps up to the challenge of the South West Regional Women’s Football League Eastern Division, a new chapter begins. The likes of Royal Wootton Bassett, Bath City, Weymouth, and Frome Town will provide stern tests, but the experience gained from the previous season will undoubtedly serve Corsham well. The journey ahead promises to be exhilarating, and the club’s supporters will undoubtedly be there to cheer their team on every step of the way.
