We are delighted to announce the signing of Lewis McCarron from Chippenham Park; Lewis returns to the club after a couple of seasons at our local rivals.

In a statement from our manager Jamie Harrison, he said, 'I have recently watched Lewis play against Westbury and in our away fixture, two weeks ago, and I was very impressed. Justin Flowers mentioned his name to me when I first took over and when I eventually got to see him play I knew we needed to have Lewis at Corsham, he can make the difference in a tight match. At Hardenhuish Park we put three players on him and he still got past us! He is one of the best players I have seen in this league and is someone who can win the game for you in a moment. He ticked all the boxes for us - a young Corsham lad, hardworking and exciting to watch, with so much more to come. When I spoke with Lewis today he was keen to return to Corsham Town where he played when he was younger and represent his home town club'.

'The fans are set for some entertaining matches at the Southbank, every time he gets the ball you feel something is going to happen. His new team mates know what a great capture this is for the club and we are excited to get him started straight away, in our away fixture v Welton Rovers tomorrow'.

Chairman Chris Perry said, 'Lewis is exactly the type of player we want to attract to the club, he is young, exciting, a rare talent and a Corsham lad. He has been a target for some time and I am over the moon that he is joining us. We are committed to bringing more players like Lewis to the club and helping Jamie build a team capable of gaining promotion'
